The status board at the Hana Bank dealing room in Jung-gu, Seoul displays the KOSPI, KOSDAQ, and other indices. As of 9:09 a.m. that day, the KOSPI had fallen by 123.87 points (3.01%) from the previous session to open at 3,997.87, surrendering the 3,900-point level just seven trading days after surpassing 4,000.
