This expo was held in conjunction with "G-FAIR KOREA 2025 (Korea Excellent Products Exhibition)," the largest comprehensive exhibition for small and medium-sized enterprises in Korea. Sixty companies from the Gwangju region participated, showcasing outstanding products and technological capabilities in various fields, including beauty and fashion, food, household goods, health and wellness, and technology.
During the event, a total of 1,126 domestic and international business consultations took place, resulting in consultation achievements worth approximately 26.3 billion won. This performance is seen as evidence of the successful promotion of local companies' advanced technologies and competitive products in both domestic and international markets.
In particular, participating company Jinju Shell drew attention when the work of Master Artisan Lee Youngok of Baeksong was featured on the banquet table directed by Executive Chef Edward Lee at the official dinner of the recent APEC (Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation) Summit held in Gyeongju, North Gyeongsang Province.
Jinju Shell is a company that preserves tradition and reinterprets it with a modern sensibility through sustainable crafts. By connecting artisans and customers, the company introduces a new craft culture where tradition and modernity coexist.
At this expo, Jinju Shell showcased products that blend practicality and artistry, such as modernized mother-of-pearl crafts including octagonal tables, "Heartfelt Boxes," colorful mother-of-pearl tumblers and phone cases, and magnets made from recycled materials, receiving enthusiastic responses from visitors.
Mayor Bang Sehwan stated, "This expo has provided an opportunity for local companies to expand their domestic and international sales channels and to widely promote their excellent technologies and products. We will continue to provide unwavering support for the growth of businesses and their overseas expansion."
