JYP Entertainment announced that singer Jinyoung Park will release his new single "Happy Hour (On the Way Home from Work)" at 6 p.m. on November 5.
The new song is a ballad written and composed by Park himself, capturing the "moment on the way home from work" as a time to comfort oneself at the end of the day. It portrays the emotions of everyday life, such as putting on earphones and playing one's own playlist, and delivers gentle comfort over a warm country-pop sound. Notably, singer-songwriter Kwon Jinah, known for her unique vocal tone, participated as a featured artist, adding an emotional synergy to the track.
The agency explained, "Jinyoung Park, the 'eternal entertainer' who has shared the joys and sorrows of life with the public at the top of the music industry for over 30 years, delivers music that heals and encourages everyone living through intense days with this new song."
In the teaser video released alongside the announcement, Jinyoung Park appears as an office worker at "Fairy Company," working under the company motto, "Praise is an achievement. Humans are the goal." Through scenes such as yawning during work or making a typo by writing "TANK YOU" instead of "THANK YOU" in a presentation, he humorously depicts the realities of office life.
He will also hold a solo concert titled "Happy Hour" on December 13 and 14 at Kyung Hee University's Grand Peace Hall in Seoul, where he will meet with fans.
Meanwhile, Jinyoung Park was recently appointed as co-chairman of the Presidential Committee for Popular Culture Exchange, and is also participating in cultural diplomacy and policy advisory activities.
