GS Construction announced on November 5 that Maple Xi has won top honors in two categories at the Asia-Pacific Landscape Architecture Awards, organized by the International Federation of Landscape Architects (IFLA).
IFLA, founded in 1948, is an international landscape architecture organization with over 70 member countries. Each year, it selects and recognizes projects constructed within its member countries that have achieved qualitative environmental benefits.
This year, Maple Xi, which received awards in the Residential and Culture & Urban Landscape categories at the IFLA Awards, is a large-scale complex built by GS Construction in Seocho-gu, Seoul, comprising 3,307 residential units. It is considered a flagship complex that embodies the landscaping philosophy of the rebranded Xi.
The complex was honored with the award for its beautifully designed maple tree-lined public walkway connecting the two separate apartment complexes, which received high praise. Previously, Maple Xi also won the President’s Award from the Korea Federation of Design Associations at the Korea Color Awards, and received the 2025 Good Design Award for its integrated signage system.
Since the rebranding of Xi in November last year, GS Construction has been reborn as a “lifestyle brand” inspired by customers’ everyday experiences. Following this year’s rebranding, the company demonstrated its global competitiveness by winning all three of the world’s top design awards through innovation in design and landscaping.
A GS Construction official stated, “The consecutive awards at the prestigious IFLA Awards and the Korea Landscape Architecture Awards are a testament to the direction and substance of the new landscaping design established by Xi after rebranding. Moving forward, we will continue to present designs that embody Xi’s unique philosophy and standards under the brand slogan, ‘Xi, where every moment makes a difference.’”
