Good Neighbors held the 'Policy Improvement Forum to Bridge the Independence Gap for Youth Preparing for Self-Reliance' at the National Assembly Library Small Auditorium at 10 a.m. on the 4th. The forum was co-hosted with Assemblywoman Baek Sunhee of the Rebuilding Korea Party. Good Neighbors delivered citizen signatures collected through the 'Independence Gap' campaign, which has been underway since the first half of the year, to Assemblywoman Baek Sunhee and Assemblyman Cha Gyugeun, requesting that the voices of civil society be reflected in the legislative process. Assemblywoman Baek Sunhee stated, "Although support policies for youth preparing for self-reliance have expanded and achieved many results, there are still blind spots that do not cover all young people. We will work together with Good Neighbors and civil society to create a society where any youth preparing for independence can dream of living on their own." Kim Woongcheol, Secretary General of Good Neighbors, said, "I hope this forum serves as an opportunity to review the limitations of the self-reliance support system and lead to effective institutional improvements. Good Neighbors will continue to accompany children throughout their growth so that a solid foundation for independence can be established."
