This product aims to promote the "Tourism City Gijang" brand and revitalize the local economy by attracting group tourists from across the country, including Gangwon, Chungcheong, and Jeolla regions. A total of 111 participants, recruited through the official Korea Railroad Corporation website and partner travel agencies, joined the program.

The travel itinerary was designed to allow participants to experience Gijang’s major tourist attractions by utilizing various railway lines, including the Gyeongbu Line KTX, Jungang Line KTX-Eum, Gyeongjeon Line Mugunghwa, and Donghae Line ITX-Ma-eum.

Depending on the course, participants enjoyed Gijang’s representative landmarks such as Haedong Yonggungsa Temple, Busan National Science Museum, Osiria Coastal Walkway, Daebyeon Port, Jukseong Dream Film Set, Osiria Lotte Outlet, and Gijang Market.

A special temporary commuter train (Taehwagang-Gijang Station) was arranged for Gyeongbu and Jungang Line passengers, allowing tourists to appreciate the coastal scenery of Gijang from the train and participate in local specialty product experience events.

Additionally, visitors to Gijang Market who spent more than 5,000 won on site were eligible to receive a "Rail Plus Transportation Card" (preloaded with 10,000 won) at the Gijang County Tourist Information Center as part of a promotional event.

Governor Jung Jongbok stated, "This railway tourism product was created to provide tourists with a new way to experience the charm of Gijang through rail travel. We will actively expand railway-based tourism in cooperation with Korea Railroad Corporation, thereby creating a virtuous cycle of increased Gijang Station usage and revitalization of the local economy. With additional trains scheduled for the Jungang and Donghae lines, we expect demand for Gijang travel by rail to grow even further in the future."
