Executive Site Inspections to Continue Nationwide, Including Gwangju and Cheongju, Through Year-End
HDC Hyundai Development Company announced on November 4 that its executive team conducted an on-site safety inspection of Sections 4 and 5 of the Donghae Line Pohang-Yeongdeok Expressway to prevent winter safety accidents.
HDC Hyundai Development Company conducted an on-site safety inspection of Sections 4 and 5 of the Donghae Line Pohang-Yeongdeok Expressway on the 31st of last month. The on-site inspection, held on October 31, was attended by Kyunggu Jung, Chief Executive Officer, Taeje Cho, Chief Strategy Officer, and other executives and employees of HDC Hyundai Development Company.
During the executive inspection, particular attention was paid to the construction status of tunnels, bridges, and road surfaces, as well as the installation of safety facilities. In addition, CEO Jung listened to the concerns of on-site workers who have strived to ensure safety and quality throughout the decade-long construction period, and requested continued efforts to maintain a safe working environment until completion.
CEO Kyunggu Jung stated, "Because this is a large-scale infrastructure project, safety management must be even more thorough. Proactive preventive measures, including safety inspections, are crucial," adding, "Everyone should do their utmost to establish an organic safety management system between headquarters and the construction sites, and to create a work environment where worker safety is the top priority."
The Pohang-Yeongdeok Expressway is a four-lane highway with a total length of 30.9 kilometers connecting Pohang and Yeongdeok. Of this, HDC Hyundai Development Company is constructing a 9.48-kilometer section in Yeongdeok County. The company is implementing rigorous safety management, taking into account the geological characteristics and construction conditions of the East Coast, and has identified major high-risk operations through executive site inspections.
HDC Hyundai Development Company stated, "By the end of the year, we will continue to conduct regular executive inspections and other safety activities at sites nationwide, including Gwangju and Cheongju, to further strengthen on-site safety management."
