Throughout this month, major job search platform mobile applications such as AlbaCheonguk, Incruit, JobKorea, and Albamon will provide information on how to avoid overseas employment scams and fraudulent bank account transactions, along with a quiz event. A total of 1,000 winners will be selected to receive prizes, including a 50,000-won Hyundai Department Store gift certificate.

To alert outbound travelers to the risk of becoming involved in voice phishing schemes, the campaign will also focus on international airports. This month, videos warning of the dangers of international employment scams will be displayed on screens at Gimpo, Gimhae, Daegu, Incheon, Jeju, and Cheongju international airports, which operate flights to Southeast Asia.

X-banners (stand-up signs) will be set up at international departure halls, and informational leaflets will be distributed at airport bank branches and currency exchange offices.

A promotional booth will be installed at the Meta (formerly Facebook) pop-up store in Seongsu-dong, Seoul, to provide information on the risks of selling or transferring bank accounts and illegal private lending. There will also be events such as the Stop Switch and O·X quiz event.

A representative from the Financial Supervisory Service stated, "Recently, large-scale overseas employment scams perpetrated by voice phishing crime organizations based in countries such as Cambodia and targeting young job seekers have emerged as a serious social issue. We will intensify our public awareness efforts regarding international employment scams and the illegality of selling bank accounts, especially on online job search platforms and at international airports frequently used by young job seekers."
