[New Release] Fraud Profiling: The Moment You Believe, the Scam Begins

A psychology professor and an active-duty intelligence detective have come together. One has delved into the human mind, while the other has investigated crime scenes. The common thread in all fraud crimes that have shaken South Korea-such as voice phishing, romance scams, and investment fraud-is 'psychology.' This book begins from the perspective of the scammer and digs deep into the psychology of the victim. Drawing on the real investigative experience of an active detective, it vividly unpacks the scammer's conversational patterns, psychological tactics, and methods. Through the expert analysis of a psychologist, it also offers profound insights into the question, "Why do we get deceived?" Fraud is never your fault. They have meticulously targeted your mind. The authors teach how to avoid falling victim to scams and offer words of recovery, not self-blame, to those already hurt. The book dismantles the sophisticated strategies of scammers and presents a way to break free from their psychological games.
