APEC Summit Venues, Including HICO Main Hall, Open to the Public
Gyeongju City is launching the "APEC Summit Conference Hall Public Viewing" to commemorate the successful hosting of the 2025 Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Summit and to share the excitement of the event with its citizens.
This special program will allow citizens to experience the APEC Summit main conference hall, the leaders' lounge, the meeting room for the Business Advisory Council, and the group photo area exactly as they were during the summit.
Leaders from various countries are conducting a meeting in the main conference hall on the 3rd floor of the Gyeongju Hwabaek Convention Center (HICO), where the 2025 APEC Summit is being held. Gyeongju City plans to open this conference hall for public viewing. Provided by Gyeongju City
The public viewing will take place for three days, from November 7 to 9, and reservations can only be made in advance through a banner on the Gyeongju City website from November 5 to 7.
The number of visitors per session will be limited to 150 people.
The viewing location is the main conference hall on the 3rd floor of the Gyeongju Hwabaek Convention Center (HICO), where the APEC Summit was held. Since the conclusion of the summit on November 1, restoration work has been underway to dismantle and return the meeting rooms on the basement level and the first and second floors to their original state.
To ensure a safe and smooth experience, the city will deploy guides along the viewing route and is preparing so that citizens can vividly feel the atmosphere of the conference hall.
Joo Nakyoung, Mayor of Gyeongju, stated, "The 2025 APEC Summit was a historic turning point that placed Gyeongju, a city with a thousand-year history, back at the center of the world. I hope this public viewing will be a meaningful opportunity for all citizens who participated in the hosting, operation, and organization of the summit to feel a sense of pride."
Meanwhile, Gyeongju City plans to recreate the summit venue in the future to establish an "APEC Memorial Hall," preserving the historical legacy and moments of the APEC Summit as a sustainable asset for the city.
