Seeking to Strengthen Startup Collaboration Between Korea and Saudi Arabia

On November 4, SparkLabs announced that it will operate the 'Tech Founder in Korea 2025 (Tech Founder)' program together with SparkLabs Saudi and the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) of Saudi Arabia until the 12th of next month.

The Tech Founder program is an initiative led by MCIT to invigorate the local startup ecosystem and strengthen the capabilities of entrepreneurs. Following Singapore last year and the United Kingdom in the first half of this year, Korea is the third country to host the program.

This program will bring together 20 promising tech startups directly selected by the Saudi government. Over six weeks, they will experience the Korean startup ecosystem and advanced technology infrastructure, while exploring collaboration opportunities and strategies for entering the Asian market.

As a co-host, SparkLabs will provide a range of support programs, including visits to major Korean conglomerates and institutions, networking with leading startup founders, strategic meetups between investors and large corporations, company diagnostics, and one-on-one tailored mentoring. In addition, a 'COMEUP' booth will be set up to introduce Saudi startups and discuss potential collaborations.

On the 8th of next month, a closed demo day will also be held, where Saudi startups will present their business models and visions to domestic investors and startup stakeholders, offering opportunities to attract investment and establish partnerships.

Yoojin Kim, CEO of SparkLabs, said, "We hope this will serve as an opportunity for promising Saudi startups to confirm their potential to enter the Asian market and to expand mutually complementary partnerships."
