Seongnam City Targets $80 Billion Market
Expanding Overseas Channels for Beauty and Food
Expectations for Global Network Expansion
Seongnam City (Mayor Shin Sangjin) announced on November 4 that it will participate in the "8th China International Import Expo (CIIE 2025)" to be held in Shanghai, China, from November 5 to 10.
The China International Import Expo (CIIE) is the world’s largest national-level import expo, hosted directly by the Chinese government, and this year marks its eighth edition.
Last year’s event saw participation from over 3,400 companies from 129 countries worldwide, attracted approximately 850,000 visitors, and resulted in large-scale transactions, with contracts totaling around 80 billion dollars signed during the expo.
This year, nine small and medium-sized enterprises from Seongnam, representing various sectors such as beauty and food, will participate to showcase their outstanding products and technologies. The participating companies are: Haran Coslab Co., Ltd. (basic cosmetics), Mineral House Co., Ltd. (basic cosmetics), Kkorangji Macaron (desserts), Lemango Co., Ltd. (swimwear), Amaros Co., Ltd. (beauty devices), Izone (medical devices), Aquarex Co., Ltd. (basic cosmetics), Ontech Co., Ltd. (AI-based devices), and Trinity Furniture Co., Ltd. (bedding). Each company aims to promote its innovative technology and competitiveness through this exhibition and actively seek opportunities to enter the global market.
Seongnam City will support local companies by covering booth installation and shipping costs to ensure stable participation and plans to establish a follow-up support system to further spread the results and expand exports after the exhibition.
A Seongnam City official stated, "The city will spare no effort in supporting local companies so that they can discover new export opportunities and strengthen their competitiveness abroad by participating in this overseas exhibition."
