Results of the 7th Assessment by the Health Insurance Review and Assessment Service
Chosun University Hospital announced on the 3rd that it received a "Grade 1" rating in the 7th Tuberculosis Appropriateness Assessment conducted by the Health Insurance Review and Assessment Service (HIRA).
Since 2018, HIRA has been conducting tuberculosis appropriateness assessments to improve the quality of tuberculosis care and to support the establishment of efficient national tuberculosis management policies.
This year's assessment was conducted on 505 medical institutions nationwide that reported new tuberculosis patients to the Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency from January to June of last year.
Chosun University Hospital scored 96.8 points in total, surpassing the overall average of 94.5 points. The hospital also received perfect scores in two categories: conventional drug susceptibility testing and rapid drug susceptibility testing, demonstrating its commitment to excellence in tuberculosis care and quality improvement.
