According to the city on November 3, this Living Lab citizen participation group is a citizen-centered, participatory project in which local residents directly participate to analyze and discuss issues facing Jeonju Movie Street, and propose practical solutions to attract tourists and revitalize local businesses.
The recruitment period is open until 4:00 p.m. on November 7, and anyone interested in the region-including university students, ordinary citizens, and business representatives-can apply.
A total of 35 citizen participants will be selected, with approximately seven members in each of the five divisions (infrastructure, content, branding, marketing, and community). In addition, three experts from industry, academia, research, and government will participate in each division.
The selected citizen participants will begin with a kickoff meeting on November 13 and will hold regular division meetings every Thursday from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. until next month. They will discuss topics such as improving the physical environment of Movie Street, planning content and festival programs, proposing brand images, and establishing promotional strategies.
Applications for the citizen participation group can be submitted by filling out and submitting the application form via the Naver Form online link. For more details, please contact the Jeonju Information & Culture Industry Promotion Agency.
Heo Jeon, Director of the Jeonju Information & Culture Industry Promotion Agency, stated, "This Living Lab is a process that reflects citizens' creative ideas and voices from the field, so that Movie Street can remain vibrant even during the off-season of the Jeonju International Film Festival. We will seek practical measures to develop it into a sustainable cultural space together with local residents."
