Kiwoom Securities Launches Joint Stock Account Opening Event

It will soon be possible to easily open a Kiwoom Securities stock account through KakaoBank. Customers who open an account via KakaoBank will also be eligible for promotional events, including Kiwoom Points that can be used like cash and benefits such as commission-free trading.

On November 3, Kiwoom Securities announced that it will launch a partnership stock account opening service on KakaoBank. By accessing the securities account opening service on KakaoBank, users can conveniently open a Kiwoom Securities stock account online without visiting a branch.

Kiwoom Securities previously signed a strategic memorandum of understanding (MOU) with KakaoBank in April. The two companies agreed to collaborate in expanding the non-face-to-face asset management environment and enhancing customer-centric investment experiences. Based on this partnership, the new joint stock account opening service has been introduced.

Through this collaboration, Kiwoom Securities aims to combine its strengths in online trading with KakaoBank's platform competitiveness to enhance customer-centric investment accessibility and lead the expansion of the digital financial ecosystem. Starting with the joint account opening service, the two companies plan to further integrate not only financial products such as bonds but also a variety of other services in the future.

To celebrate the launch of the service, a special event will be held. Customers who participate in the event can receive 10,000 Kiwoom Points, a three-month discount on online commissions for domestic stocks, a USD 33 trading support fund for U.S. stocks, and three months of commission-free trading for U.S. stocks.

A representative from Kiwoom Securities stated, "This event is designed to provide tangible benefits to customers who are starting to trade domestic and overseas stocks for the first time," adding, "Through our partnership with KakaoBank, even more customers will be able to experience an easy and rational investment environment."
