The Jeongeup Agricultural Technology Center in North Jeolla Province will operate a special train tour package called the 'Nongtturail Tour,' which combines the autumn foliage of Naejangsan Mountain with rural experiences, from November 7 to 16.
According to the center on November 3, this tour is planned to offer a variety of experiences in line with the peak autumn travel season, including a walk along the Naejangsan autumn foliage trail, a visit to Ssanghwacha Street, and hands-on activities at a Makgeolli brewery.

This program is designed so that participants can visit Naejangsan National Park, one of Korea's most famous autumn foliage destinations, and enjoy the atmosphere of fall while strolling along the vividly colored paths.
In addition, participants will visit Ssanghwacha Street, one of Jeongeup's nine scenic spots, to experience the traditional health beverage Ssanghwacha, and take part in activities such as filtering and tasting Makgeolli at a local brewery, providing an opportunity to experience the local rural culture.
'Nongtturail' is a program jointly developed by the Rural Development Administration, Korea Railroad Corporation, and local governments to promote rural experiential tourism.
The name 'Nongtturail' combines words symbolizing rural areas and railways, such as 'rice paddy,' 'dure' (a traditional cooperative group), and 'rail,' to signify the connection between rural communities and the railway. Previously, in October, the program was successfully operated in conjunction with the Gujeolcho Flower Festival and received a great response.
Lee Yonggwan, Director of the Agricultural Technology Center, stated, "Jeongeup is a city with excellent rail accessibility, and we have prepared a special travel opportunity where visitors can enjoy both autumn foliage and rural experiences. We hope many travelers will experience the nature, culture, and local values of Jeongeup."
Reservations for the package can be made on the Korail website up to seven days before the departure date. For more information, please contact the Jeongeup City Rural Support Division or the Korail Jeonbuk Travel Center.
