The convenience store industry is introducing differentiated products through intellectual property (IP) collaborations ahead of Pepero Day on November 11.


GS25, operated by GS Retail, is launching over 150 types of Pepero gift sets. Reflecting preferences by customer segment, the offerings include: "Butter Bear," popular among female customers in their teens and twenties; "Blackchun," targeting the Kakao-based fandom; "Puggler," aimed at keyring collectors; "Mumussi and Friends," GS25's own characters; and "Pepero Special Lecture," a collaboration with EBSi tailored for the college entrance exam season.

Promotional benefits are focused on products for actual purchase. From November 1 to 10, six types-Pepero (chocolate, almond), Pocky (original, ultra-thin), and Ferrero Rocher (T-3, T-5)-are available with a 2+2 event when paying with GS Pay. During the same period, customers who purchase gift sets and pay with Kakao Pay, Naver Pay, Toss Pay, or Payco will receive a 50% cashback benefit.


CU, a convenience store operated by BGF Retail, is launching 44 collaborative products with brands such as Pokemon's Ditto, Tarimongttang, Harris Tweed, and Jjonnyami. First, exclusive products featuring Ditto from the global IP Pokemon will be introduced, including everyday items like keyboard number pads, eco bags, and hot pack dolls, as well as travel goods such as suitcases and name tags.

Products responding to the increasing demand for traditional Korean content are also being prepared. Items with a traditional concept and K-culture sensibility, such as talisman keyrings and bookmarks designed with Tarimongttang-a character selected as an "Excellent Cultural Product" and "K-RIBBON" by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism-will also be released.


A small luxury collection in collaboration with Harris Tweed, the British royal-certified top-tier handmade fabric brand, will also be launched. The lineup consists of fashion accessories such as Harris Tweed tote bags, card wallets, laptop pouches, and AirPods cases. In addition, through collaboration with the popular SF comedy webtoon Jjonnyami, which has 170,000 social media followers, items such as Jjonnyami keyrings, face pouches, and glasses cases will be introduced.


Customer discount benefits are also available. When purchasing four or more single Pepero (chocolate or almond), customers can receive up to 50% off when paying with BC Card, Woori Card, K Bank Alpaca Card, CU Plus T-Money, or Kakao Pay Money. Additionally, when purchasing two or more of the 44 differentiated products and eight Ferrero Rocher special products with a CU Npay Card, customers can receive up to 70% off.

Seven Eleven convenience stores are introducing 116 types of Pepero Day products featuring global characters such as Teddy Bear and Sanrio Characters, as well as IPs like idol group Stray Kids and Isekai Idol.


First, three types of "Teddy Bear Pepero," each featuring a different teddy bear design, will be launched. In addition, a "Teddy Bear Doll Set" containing an actual 24cm medium-sized teddy bear doll will be available. Sanrio Characters special products will also be introduced, including the "Sanrio Characters Doll Keyring Set," which features keyrings of characters dressed in clothing reminiscent of the Victorian era in England.


In addition, customers can find Pepero products featuring idol group Stray Kids and the Japanese virtual idol group Isekai Idol.


Pepero Day promotions are also being prepared. For two types of Teddy Bear special products (Teddy Bear Doll Set and Teddy Bear Pepero 4-pack Set) and Sanrio Characters special products, a 30% discount is available when paying with Kakao Pay Money. For the three types of Teddy Bear Pepero, a 2+2 event is available when paying with Samsung Card, BC Card, Naver Pay points, or Naver Pay Money.

Emart24 is launching five limited edition planned sets using the characters and worldview of "Trickcal Revive," as well as two single Pepero products designed with characters from the game.


The five planned sets include: a diorama acrylic stand set, a lenticular card set, and a hologram keyring set. All planned products include both Trickcal Revive merchandise and Pepero products designed with the game's characters. Trickcal Revive is a subculture game with a highly loyal fandom, known for its intricate illustrations and deep scenario set in the fairy-tale world of "Elias."


To commemorate the launch, a prize promotion is also being held. Until November 15, customers who purchase any of the five Trickcal Revive Pepero planned products, scan the barcode with the Emart24 app, and click the "Enter" button can participate in the prize event. A total of 400 winners will be randomly selected to receive prizes such as diorama stands, three types of second anniversary bookmarks (random), mini acrylic dioramas, and sticker packs. During the same period, customers who purchase the most of the two regular Pepero types will receive Trickcal Revive merchandise as prizes, including the "Diorama Acrylic 2nd Edition Full Set," "We Are Butterdan" cardigan, and Joan cheering stick package, according to their ranking.
