This event was designed to help young people recognize the seriousness of the climate crisis and to encourage them to think deeply about the Sustainable Development Goals. Participating students learned about and shared concrete examples of how to practice carbon neutrality in their daily lives, gaining a deeper understanding of environmental issues.
In particular, this Environmental Golden Bell event, held under the theme of "Building a Healthy Society and a Healthy Planet Together," served as an important opportunity to inspire the interest and participation of young people who will become future guardians of the Earth's environment. The event was especially meaningful in that it strengthened young people's sense of responsibility for environmental issues.
Mayor Park Dongsik stated, "Environmental action taken together by everyone creates a sustainable future," and added, "We will continue to provide various opportunities to ensure that concern for the environment leads to real action."
