3,600 Participants Expected at Jamsil Yusuje Park
Songpa District in Seoul (District Mayor Seo Gangseok) will hold the '2025 Songpa Daycare Center Grand Festival' at Jamsil Yusuje Park (211 Tancheon-dong-ro) from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on November 4. The 'Songpa Daycare Center Grand Festival' is an event first launched last year to bring together all daycare center families in the district, allowing them to play, experience, and enjoy the autumn atmosphere together.
This year, the venue and programs have been expanded to accommodate more families. A total of 3,600 participants, including children and parents from public, private, home-based, and workplace daycare centers, as well as childcare staff, are expected to attend, creating a special time for families to enjoy together.
The event will kick off at 10 a.m. with a welcoming greeting from mascot characters such as Haha, Hoho, and Haechi. The opening ceremony will then feature a cheerleading performance by the Rainbow Cheer Team, an entrance ceremony and torch relay, and declarations by representatives of children and parents.
Afterwards, the highlight of the event-the family sports day-will take place. Considering the developmental stages by age, activities will be divided into infant and toddler groups, with family-oriented games such as grabbing snacks, tunnel relay, rolling a giant ball, basket toss, and the Wind-Catching Special Forces.
Additionally, inside the youth baseball field at the venue, Seoul's pop-up kids caf? 'Haha Hoho Playground' will be operated. Various experiences designed to stimulate children's senses will be offered, including sports bounce, ball pool, big block air rocket, and bubble play. A 'Haechi Photo Zone' will also be set up so families can create lasting memories together.
Seo Gangseok, Mayor of Songpa District, stated, "This grand festival will be a place for family harmony where our children’s healthy laughter grows as we laugh, run, and play together under the clear autumn sky. We will continue to do our best to make Songpa a city where children are happy."
