In sharing the performance video, Prime Minister Anwar wrote, "Many K-pop fans in Malaysia asked me to upload his performance tonight," adding, "To avoid disappointing the fans, I am sharing this moment from the show." The post included the hashtag "#KpopForever" and tagged G-Dragon's account.
The video surpassed 100,000 likes within seven hours of being uploaded, quickly spreading across social media.
The performance took place on October 31 at the Grand Ballroom of the Lahan Select Hotel in Gyeongju, Gyeongbuk, during the APEC Summit's welcome dinner. The dinner was attended by approximately 400 people, including heads of state and their spouses, representatives from international organizations, and CEOs of global companies.

During the performance, some leaders could be seen holding up their phones to record the event, and President Lee Jaemyung was captured on screen providing an explanation about the performance to Chinese President Xi Jinping. The event was hosted by singer and actor Cha Eunwoo, who is currently serving in the military, and the dinner menu was curated by Korean-American chef Edward Lee, featuring ingredients sourced from Gyeongju.
Appointed as the APEC 2025 Korea promotional ambassador, G-Dragon was the only K-pop artist invited and performed three songs-"Power," "Home Sweet Home," and "Drama"-over approximately ten minutes.
G-Dragon attracted attention with his outfit, which featured a fedora adorned with pearls reminiscent of the traditional Korean hat known as a "gat." Notably, this stage drew particular interest for its resemblance to the virtual boy group "Saja Boys" from the Netflix animated film "K-Pop Demon Hunters."
