Full Cash Deal of 4.27 Billion Won: Twice’s Momo Purchases Luxury Villa in Guri’s “Artists’ Village”

Purchased "Arcadia Signature" Villa Entirely in Cash
Strict Security Makes It a Celebrity Favorite... Han Sohee, Nana Among Residents

Momo, the Japanese member of the girl group Twice, has reportedly purchased a luxury residence in Archiwool Village, Guri, Gyeonggi Province.

According to court registry documents dated October 31, Momo bought a 221-square-meter villa in "Arcadia Signature," located in Acheondong, for 4.27 billion won on October 23. She paid the full amount, completed the ownership transfer registration on the day of the contract, and, as there is no mortgage, it is presumed that the transaction was made entirely in cash.

Arcadia Signature is a luxury country-style villa complex with two basement levels and four above-ground floors, completed in May 2023. The complex consists of eight units (six standard villas and two penthouse units). It is the first in Archiwool Village to feature a private access road, allowing residents to enter without being exposed to outsiders. Thanks to its thorough security system, it is known as a preferred residence for celebrities.

The natural terrace-type unit purchased by Momo features three bedrooms, a study, three bathrooms, and a private garden. Residents can also enjoy views of both the Han River and Achasan Mountain.

Previously, actress Han Sohee purchased a 203-square-meter duplex penthouse in Arcadia Signature for 5.24 billion won in August last year, financing approximately 1 billion won through a loan. Nana, an actress and former member of After School, also became Momo’s neighbor by buying a 221-square-meter villa for 4.2 billion won in March this year, with about 2.7 billion won financed by a loan.

Archiwool Village is known as the "Artists' Village," as artists such as the late Park Wansuh, painter Lee Seongja, and printmaker Choi Jisook have lived there for many years. More recently, actor couple Hyun Bin and Son Yejin chose it as their newlywed home, and other residents include actress Oh Yeonseo, singer Park Jinyoung, and Moon Heejun, a former member of H.O.T.

Momo debuted with Twice in 2015 and gained popularity both in Korea and internationally with numerous hit songs, including "Cheer Up," "TT," "What is Love?," "Fancy," and "Feel Special." In 2023, she also formed the unit "MISAMO" with fellow Japanese members Mina and Sana.
