This event was part of the "Blue Road Companion Dog Trekking Program," which Yeongdeok County is promoting to revitalize pet-friendly tourism. It served to widely promote Yeongdeok's image as a companion dog-friendly city both domestically and internationally.

A total of 73 teams-63 who registered in advance and 10 who registered on-site-participated, including 140 people and 70 dogs, all enjoying a clear autumn day in Yeongdeok.

The main program featured a special lecture and one-on-one behavioral correction coaching by Professor Lee Woongjong, known as the original "Dog President," which resonated strongly with dog owners.

Participants walked and ran with their dogs along the Byeolparang Trail, savoring the autumn atmosphere, and enjoyed a treasure hunt along the way.

Additionally, there were various activities such as a mini sports event where owners and their dogs worked together to overcome obstacles, making unique dog necklaces, experiencing dog caricatures and tarot readings, all creating special memories. Essential services were also provided, including free health consultations and grooming for dogs, a dog photo studio, and booths selling dog products and treats for the families and their pets.

The entire participation fee of 10,000 won per team was refunded as Yeongdeok Love Gift Certificates, contributing to the local economy. There were also generous prizes for the treasure hunt and social media certification events, adding extra joy for attendees.

A participant who trekked with five dogs shared, "I heard that the Byeolparang Park area in Yeongdeok was affected by wildfires, but the walking course was so beautiful and impressive. Professor Lee Woongjong's realistic and passionate lecture was wonderful, and the thoughtfully prepared booths and playgrounds for the dogs made the day enjoyable for everyone."
