Global IP content company SAMG Entertainment (CEO Kim Suhoon, hereafter referred to as SAMG Entertainment) announced on October 31 that it has launched a collaboration MD featuring the popular animation "Catch! Teenieping" and the girl group aespa. This project is a collaboration between SAMG Entertainment and SM Entertainment's artist aespa, and is characterized by the aespa members appearing as new Teeniepings, called "aespaping," within the Teenieping universe.
The "aespa × Teenieping" collaboration merchandise officially launches today (October 31). The merchandise lineup includes a variety of products such as figures, accessories, and lifestyle items that reflect each member's unique personality. During the pre-sale held in August, four types of products were unveiled-including a 25cm doll, random figure, figure keyring, and mirror pouch keyring set-which received an enthusiastic response from fans. For the official release, five new products have been added, including a 10cm surprise keyring with a new design, a tumbler deco set, a metal badge set, and a sticker set.
The products are available through SAMG Entertainment's own online store "Emotion Castle Store," as well as SMTOWN&STORE, Lotte Mart both online and offline, and Line Friends Square stores in Myeongdong and Insadong. Starting November 7, they will also be available at Artbox, and from November 11, at "Kwangya@Seoul" sequentially.
This collaboration has garnered significant global attention, with the short-form content "Dirty Work," a collaboration between aespa and Teenieping released in August, and other SNS content accumulating a total of 35.12 million views. The combination of Teenieping's adorable universe and aespa's signature striking visuals has received positive responses from both domestic and international fandoms.
A SAMG Entertainment representative stated, "Through our collaboration with aespa, the 'Catch! Teenieping' fandom is expanding beyond Millennials & Gen Z to include fans of K-pop and K-content. We expect this project to serve as an opportunity for character IP to transcend generational boundaries and become a new cultural trend."
