On October 30, KOSDAQ-listed company NBT announced via a public disclosure that it has completed all procedures for the sale of the CSM Building, as part of its asset efficiency strategy. The total sale price was 35.7 billion won. NBT has realized a capital gain of 6.7 billion won just over four years after purchasing the building.
The company stated that it plans to use the funds raised from this real estate sale to accelerate the development of its newly launched stablecoin business, as well as to further enhance and expand the business model of its core B2B offerwall platform, Addison.
NBT is expanding its business domain by securing a diverse range of partners centered on its main business division, the Addison Offerwall, and by adopting a shopping affiliate partnership model. Recently, the company established a model in which e-commerce shopping campaigns are displayed on partner media and networks, and revenue is shared based on purchase performance. The company explained that, through this structure, it plans to pursue ongoing expansion based on strong commerce partners.
A company representative stated, "With the strengthening of NBT's financial stability through this real estate sale, we are devising expansion strategies across all business divisions," adding, "The newly launched stablecoin business will also pursue a variety of initiatives in conjunction with the existing core business ecosystem."
Having entered the stablecoin market this year, NBT aims to become an 'all-in-one infrastructure provider' that enables various app operators to easily design and operate their own economic systems based on stablecoins. This is because the rewards and points ecosystem is considered one of the areas where stablecoin adoption can happen most rapidly.
NBT has recently formed partnerships with blockchain fintech company OpenAsset and virtual asset custody specialist Korea Digital Asset. The company intends to leverage stablecoins to overcome the structural limitations of the existing points market and lead the creation of a digital asset ecosystem that can be applied to the real economy.
