Hansol Paper Turns to Deficit in Q3... "Impact of U.S. Tariffs"

Operating Loss of 6.4 Billion Won, Sales of 512.9 Billion Won
"Expecting Improved Performance in the Fourth Quarter"

Hansol Paper announced on the 30th that it posted an operating loss of 6.4 billion won in the third quarter of this year, turning to a loss from the previous quarter's 7.4 billion won. This represents a 186.5% decrease compared to the previous quarter. The company explained that this was due to the completion of temporary cost processing in the environmental business division. Compared to the same period last year, when the loss was 17.9 billion won, the loss narrowed by 64.2%.

Sales stood at 512.9 billion won, down 2.6% from the previous quarter's 526.7 billion won, but up 0.9% compared to 508.1 billion won in the same period last year.

A Hansol Paper official stated, "In the third quarter of this year, the global consumption market contracted due to the impact of U.S. tariff policies, putting downward pressure on prices across the paper industry. However, the fourth quarter is traditionally a seasonal peak for paper demand, and we anticipate price increases as well, so we expect performance to improve."
