Danal Entertainment, a subsidiary of Danal (hereafter referred to as Danal Entertainment), announced on October 30 that it has launched 'D-Scale Partnership,' an integrated business solution for IP holders, and is making a new leap forward as a content business builder.
D-Scale Partnership is a customized partnership program designed to maximize the value of IP held by artists, agencies, and content production companies, while building a sustainable revenue model. The company aims to sign contracts with at least 20 companies within the year, and some IP holders are reportedly in the final stages of contract negotiations.
D-Scale Partnership consists of four stages: investment, planning, distribution, and scaling up. In the investment stage, Danal Entertainment plans to accelerate projects by providing initial funding for content and project production, merchandise development, and concert planning. Depending on the nature of the project, the company is also considering creating joint investment funds.
In the planning stage, Danal Entertainment will strategically consult on content, merchandise, and pop-up events by combining fandom behavior data with market trends for each IP. In the distribution stage, the company will support rapid entry into domestic and overseas markets by linking its own channels and partner networks with both offline distribution channels and online platforms. Finally, through the scaling up process, which includes secondary content development, digital merchandise production, and integration with commerce platforms, Danal Entertainment aims to ensure the continuous expansion of IP and secure long-term growth drivers.
In this context, Danal Entertainment has consistently demonstrated its capabilities in the content business by operating K-pop artists' pop-up stores and merchandise businesses, as well as investing in and co-producing large-scale concerts and overseas performances. The company currently operates its content business with more than 600 partners, and with the launch of D-Scale Partnership, it is expected to go beyond simple distribution and take on the role of a 'business builder' that proposes optimal business models.
Hyun Neungho, CEO of Danal Entertainment, stated, "D-Scale Partnership focuses on further activating a virtuous cycle in which IP holders communicate and grow with their fandom through content," adding, "With the fandom economy centered on K-pop gaining attention in the global market, we aim to fill market gaps as a business partner and set new standards across the entire content IP ecosystem."
