Busan Himchan Hospital Provides Medical Support at Individual Taxi Cooperative Sports Event... "A Hospital Working with the Local Community"

Ambulance on Standby, Immediate First Aid for Injuries

Busan Himchan Hospital dispatched a medical support team to the site of the "Chairman's Cup Sports Competition" organized by the Busan Individual Taxi Transportation Cooperative, ensuring the health and safety of the participants.

This event took place at Samnak Ecological Park in Sasang-gu at the end of October 2025.

Now in its 39th year, the festival began as the first soccer tournament in 1984 and has since expanded to include four sports: soccer, jokgu (foot volleyball), tennis, and badminton, making it the largest sports festival in the Busan individual taxi industry.

More than 1,000 people attended the event, including Busan Mayor Park Heongjoon, officials, and cooperative members.

Mayor Park stated, "Exercise is the most effective way to protect citizens' health," adding, "Busan's achievement of overall second place at the 106th National Sports Festival for the first time in 52 years is the result of the citizens' healthy energy."

Busan Himchan Hospital set up a medical support booth at the center of the stadium and provided immediate first aid to participants with minor injuries such as abrasions and muscle pain during the games. The hospital also established a thorough medical safety system by keeping an ambulance on standby at all times in preparation for emergencies.

One participant who was injured during a soccer match said, "Thanks to the medical staff's swift response and management of my condition, I was able to return to the game without any major incident," adding, "Our team's victory was also thanks to the quick actions of the medical team."

A cooperative representative commented, "It was truly reassuring to have Busan Himchan Hospital on site," and expressed gratitude to the medical support team for their dedication to participant safety.

Kim Taegyun, Director of Busan Himchan Hospital, said, "As a hospital working together with the local community, it was meaningful to care for the health of cooperative members through this event," adding, "We will continue to collaborate with local organizations to provide ongoing medical support."
