A Collaborative Festival with Local Farmers

Jindo County in South Jeolla Province is immersed in the fragrant waves of chrysanthemums, capturing the essence of autumn.
On October 29, the county announced that it had successfully held the opening ceremony for the 2025 Bobamseok Chrysanthemum Festival on October 27. Over 200 people attended the event to celebrate the start of the festival, including Kim Heesu, Governor of Jindo County; Park Geumrae, Chairperson of the County Council; Kim Injeong, South Jeolla Provincial Assembly member; the Superintendent of the Jindo Office of Education; members of the Chrysanthemum Industrialization Research Association; and chrysanthemum farmers.
Under the theme "Blooming Flower Lights! Twinkling Starlight! Meet in Jindo!", the festival kicked off with a dazzling lighting ceremony and a celebratory performance by guest singer Hong Jiyun, adding excitement to the event.
Notably, at the event, Kim Heesuk, CEO of Jeil Taka Co., Ltd., drew attention by donating 10 million won to the regional joint fundraising campaign "Mo-a Dream," exemplifying a culture of warm sharing in the community.
This chrysanthemum festival is a collaborative event featuring 150,000 chrysanthemums grown directly by local farmers. The illuminated garden, which is open for nighttime viewing, offers a romantic autumn evening experience.
Governor Kim Heesu commented, "I hope everyone enjoys the autumn atmosphere of Jindo amid the scent of chrysanthemums," adding, "I expect this festival to become a place of harmony where residents and tourists come together."
Meanwhile, the 2025 Bobamseok Chrysanthemum Festival will continue until November 30, featuring a chrysanthemum sales exhibition, small concerts, and a variety of other side events.
