The Gwangyang FEZ Authority introduced successful cases of foreign investment in the Gwangyang Bay Area to participants and actively promoted the region's industrial competitiveness and incentives for companies in the secondary battery materials, new energy, and international logistics sectors. In addition, the authority conducted one-on-one investment consultations with OKTA member companies operating in various countries, discussing practical cooperation measures.

In particular, on October 29, the authority hosted the "GFEZ-World Korean Business Association Investment Promotion Meeting," inviting more than 10 Korean businesspeople who operate businesses in countries such as China, Japan, and Indonesia.

During the meeting, participants shared information on the status of foreign-invested companies in the Gwangyang Bay Area and the development conditions of key industrial complexes such as the Sepung Industrial Complex and the Daesong Industrial Complex. They also engaged in in-depth discussions on ways to expand investment participation by overseas Korean companies.

Koo Chung-gon, Commissioner of the Gwangyang FEZ Authority, stated, "The Gwangyang Bay Area is a core investment hub in Northeast Asia, where foreign investment is active in sectors such as metal materials, secondary batteries, and international logistics. We will continue to expand foreign corporate investment by strengthening cooperation with the global Korean business network."
