An anonymous donor has been donating boxes of cup noodles to Suwon City for seven consecutive years.

This citizen, who identified themselves only as a "resident of Gwanggyo, Suwon," left 56 boxes of cup noodles and a handwritten letter at the main entrance of City Hall in the early morning. In the letter, the donor requested, "Please deliver these to public officials who are working hard to prevent wildfires."

The donor wrote, "It has already been seven years since I first expressed my gratitude after seeing Suwon City officials working hard to extinguish a wildfire on Gwanggyosan Mountain several years ago. I prepared these small snacks in the hope that they would provide some comfort to those spending lonely and difficult times monitoring for wildfires."

The donor added, "I sincerely support Mayor Lee Jaejun and the public officials who always work hard for Suwon City. I also hope that citizens will leave cigarettes and lighters at home when hiking and help protect our mountains."

Lee Jaejun, Mayor of Suwon, said, "I am deeply moved by the sincerity and dedication that have continued unchanged for seven years. Although the donor calls them 'small snacks,' the kindness behind them is anything but small. I extend my heartfelt gratitude to the unnamed citizen who has warmed Suwon." The city plans to distribute the donated cup noodles to public officials and field workers engaged in wildfire prevention and monitoring activities.

It is known that the "resident of Gwanggyo, Suwon," who donated cup noodles on this day, also left 33 boxes of cup noodles and a letter in November last year, asking that they be delivered to public officials responsible for wildfire monitoring. Over the past seven years, it has been estimated that more than 1,000 boxes of cup noodles have been donated to Suwon City Hall, Gyeonggi Provincial Government, 119 Safety Centers, health centers, and other organizations.
