Cube Entertainment announced on October 29 that Miyeon of the group i-dle is experiencing a sharp rise on the music charts.
On October 28 at 6 p.m., Miyeon released the pre-release track "Reno (Feat. Colde)" from her second mini album "MY, Lover," and has since secured top spots on both domestic and international music and music video charts.
Despite being a pre-release track, "Reno (Feat. Colde)" immediately climbed to No. 2 on the real-time chart of the Korean music platform Bugs upon release, and also entered the upper ranks of the Melon HOT 100, marking a strong debut. On global charts, the song ranked on the iTunes Top Songs chart in five countries and also secured high positions on the Korean-language chart of China's Tencent Music Entertainment (TME).
The music video is also generating significant buzz. Immediately after its release, it ranked 13th on YouTube’s "Most Viewed Music Videos in 24 Hours" and charted in 10 countries, including South Korea, Russia, Germany, France, the United Kingdom, Singapore, Taiwan, Australia, Hong Kong, and Canada, reaffirming Miyeon's global influence.
"Reno (Feat. Colde)," the first track unveiled from the second mini album "MY, Lover," depicts the moment when love turns into obsession and ultimately spirals into catastrophe. Colde, known for his distinctive vocal tone, features on the track, blending harmoniously with Miyeon's expressive vocals to deliver intense emotional depth. The music video features actor Cha Woo-min as Miyeon's lover, presenting a dramatic narrative reminiscent of a noir film.
Having showcased a new side as a solo artist with the pre-release track "Reno (Feat. Colde)," Miyeon will officially release her second mini album "MY, Lover" on November 3. The album is expected to deliver a more mature emotional sensibility through songs that explore the theme of "love" from various perspectives and with different nuances.
