Governor Kim Dongyeon of Gyeonggi Province expressed his deep condolences on the third anniversary of the Itaewon disaster on the 29th.
In a message posted on his social media on this day, Governor Kim said, "I am marking the third anniversary of the 10·29 Itaewon disaster in the United States," and added, "I remember and mourn the 159 victims who became stars."

He particularly noted, "This year, to mark the third anniversary, we have placed a memorial flag next to the provincial government building's flag, hung a memorial banner at the entrance, and created a remembrance space on the homepage," and urged, "I ask everyone to join us in remembrance and solidarity."
Governor Kim departed for the United States on the 26th to attract foreign investment and expand the scope of local diplomacy.
