The 2025 Gangwon Education Festa, newly launched in 2023, is now in its third year. The event was designed to support and encourage all those dedicated to advancing education in Gangwon Province.
In particular, this year’s event is being held in partnership with the Digital Education Planning Department of EBS and will be integrated with an offline career mentoring program for students and parents.
During the 'Opening Session,' attendees will view outstanding works from the Gangwon Education Contest and enjoy an opening performance by the Sokcho Boys and Girls Choir. Taewon Kim, former Google executive, will deliver a keynote speech on the topic of "Creative Talent and Education for the Age of Artificial Intelligence (AI)."
The 'Class Sharing Session' will feature teachers from 17 cities and counties across Gangwon Province sharing vivid classroom case studies, presenting the results of the Gangwon Education Research Association’s activities, offering various training sessions related to teaching, and hosting a talk concert on strategies to enhance elementary students’ mathematical reasoning skills.
At the 'Dream Sharing Session,' magician Lee Junhyeong will kick off with a motivational magic show to engage students. Nakjun Lee, an otolaryngologist, web novelist, and YouTuber with 1.4 million subscribers (Doctor Friends), will deliver a special lecture titled "Dreaming Me: Courage, Challenge, and Overcoming," aimed at students contemplating their future paths. In addition, Jinseok Kim, a lead instructor at EBS, will hold a discussion for parents on "How to Design Students’ Career and Academic Plans."
The 'Experience Zone' will offer a variety of hands-on booths open to everyone from kindergarteners to high school students. Activities will include a mini broadcasting station experience inside a broadcast relay van, camera and chroma key experiences, career exploration activities related to broadcasting, Korean language and math games, book-based activities, educational experiences, virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR) experiences, autonomous vehicle demonstrations, and booths for exploring future industries such as robotics and drones.
In the 'Harmony Zone,' there will be a stamp tour, balloon show, busking performances, four-cut photo booth, roulette event, face painting, and other interactive events.
Superintendent Shin Kyungho stated, "The 2025 Gangwon Education Festa is a meaningful event that provides a platform for interaction and communication among all those who support students’ learning and lives. We hope for your interest and participation as Gangwon education continues to grow and soar together."
