The Daejeon Metropolitan Office of Education held a special lecture on "Education of Questions in the AI Era," providing an opportunity for insights into teaching.

From October 28 to 29, the Office organized the "2025 Happy Class Sharing Festival" at the Daejeon Convention Center (DCC), attended by approximately 200 teachers and prospective teachers from elementary, middle, and high schools in the area. The event aimed to strengthen teaching competencies and promote a culture of collaborative class sharing.

This year’s festival, held under the slogan "Questions That Awaken Thinking, Classes That Open the Future," was structured into three sessions: Opening Session, Enrichment Session, and Sharing Session.

Notably, to further spread the culture of class sharing, the scale of participation and the range of programs were expanded compared to last year. In addition to current teachers, prospective teachers from local colleges of education were invited to share innovative teaching cases and participate in a variety of programs, including special lectures, exhibitions, and workshops.

The Opening Session featured a video and performance to encourage teachers dedicated to classroom innovation, a keynote speech by Professor Shin Jongho of Seoul National University titled "Teachers, Designing the Future," and a special lecture by Professor Lee Sangwook of Hanyang University on "Education of Questions in the AI Era," offering time for reflection on teaching.

The Enrichment Session provided exhibition booths with outstanding cases of classroom innovation and generalized materials, offering teachers practical resources and examples for use in the field.

Furthermore, the Sharing Session, which focused on exchanging learning through various innovative teaching cases, included class sharing led by lead teachers and presentations of edtech-integrated classroom innovation by teachers recognized in this year’s Teaching Innovation Case Study Competition.

Teachers also shared exemplary teaching cases across six subject areas and strengthened collaborative networks through open communication.

Additionally, a teacher learning community workshop, integrating both middle and high school levels, was held to share stories of teaching growth beyond school boundaries. A media student assessment workshop was also conducted to discuss ways to enhance student competencies for their growth.

Cho Jinhyung, Director of Secondary Education at the Daejeon Metropolitan Office of Education, stated, "This Happy Class Sharing Festival is a meaningful event for teachers to reflect on their teaching and grow together, based on professionalism and autonomy. Transforming classrooms into spaces where questions are alive and learning is student-led is the core of future education. We will continue to actively support the spread of a culture of collaborative class sharing among teachers, so that student growth and happiness can be realized."
