Gongju City Hosts Meeting with Central Government Cooperation Officers: "Accelerating National Funding and Key Projects"

On October 28, Gongju City in South Chungcheong Province held a meeting at the City Hall's Jiphyeon Room, inviting nine cooperation officers from central government ministries and related institutions, including Woo Sungkyu, Ambassador for International Relations of South Chungcheong Province. The city announced on the 29th that they discussed securing national and provincial funding for key projects and strengthening cooperation with central authorities.


The meeting was attended by key cooperation officers from South Chungcheong Province, including Ambassador for International Relations Woo Sungkyu, National Assembly Cooperation Officer Lim Hyungjun, and Education Reform Support Officer Lee Sangwoo, who shared Gongju City's development strategies and core projects.


Mayor Choi Woncheol introduced current major projects, such as the 2028 International Chestnut Industry Expo, the Jukdang-ri Earth Art Park, the creation of a symbolic street representing the ancient capital, and the construction of the Livestock Environment Management Institute's Gongju office, and requested active support from central authorities.


The cooperation officers stated, "We will seek to connect with central government ministries and provide policy support to ensure the smooth progress of Gongju City's projects."


Mayor Choi emphasized, "The more you look at Gongju, the more attractive it becomes," and added, "We will work closely with central authorities to drive regional growth."
