Chungnam Farmers Unite! Excellent Agricultural and Specialty Products Fair Opens in Dangjin

Farmers from cities and counties across Chungnam Province will gather in one place to showcase agricultural and specialty products grown with dedication and hard work.

The "Chungnam Excellent Agricultural and Specialty Products Promotion Fair" will be held from November 1 to 2 at the Hapdeok Rural Theme Park in Dangjin City, offering a vibrant autumn marketplace alongside the Chrysanthemum Festival.

The Chungcheongnam-do Agricultural Research and Extension Services announced on October 29 that it will co-host the "Chungnam Excellent Agricultural and Specialty Products Promotion Fair" with the Chungnam Crop Farmers Research Association to expand sales channels and boost consumption of local agricultural products.

This event will feature more than 150 items, including fresh produce and processed foods carefully selected from each city and county in the province, sold at prices 10 to 50 percent lower than market rates.

Consumers will be able to purchase fresh agricultural products at reasonable prices through direct transactions with producers.

In addition, in conjunction with the Dangjin Chrysanthemum Festival, a variety of attractions and hands-on experiences will be offered, and there will also be a charity event where agricultural and specialty products donated by each city and county will be delivered to Dangjin City to help neighbors in need.

An official from the Provincial Agricultural Research and Extension Services stated, "This event will provide an opportunity for people to see and taste excellent agricultural products that Chungnam farmers have carefully cultivated and processed," adding, "We will continue to actively support the expansion of sales channels for local agricultural products and the improvement of farm incomes."

Meanwhile, the Chungnam Crop Farmers Research Association is the largest organization of its kind in the province, with more than 15,000 members, working to strengthen producer organizations through technology sharing and collaborative management, thereby contributing to the stabilization of supply and demand and the enhancement of market competitiveness for agricultural products.
