Movie YouTuber Jimovie Signs Jeonse Contract at Nine One Hannam
It has been reported that the highest-priced jeonse contract for a 75-pyeong unit at Nine One Hannam in Hannam-dong, Yongsan-gu, Seoul, was signed by Jimovie, a movie review YouTuber with 3.9 million subscribers.
According to Korea Economic TV on October 28, Jimovie signed a jeonse contract in July for a 206-square-meter (75-pyeong) unit at Nine One Hannam, with a deposit of 7.7 billion won. This is the highest jeonse price ever recorded for this unit size. Compared to a transaction for the same unit size in May, which was closed at 7 billion won, the price increased by 700 million won in just two months.
Completed in 2019, Nine One Hannam is an ultra-luxury residential complex built on the former site of the Yongsan U.S. military base's foreigner apartments. It was constructed by Lotte Construction, with design led by A&U Design Group, one of Korea's top architectural firms, and Scott Sarver, CEO of the world-renowned architectural firm SMDP.
The complex consists of 341 units ranging from 206 to 273 square meters of exclusive area, spread across nine buildings with four basement levels and five to nine floors above ground. The community features a 1-kilometer walking trail connected to a central park, as well as high-end amenities such as an indoor swimming pool, fitness center, indoor golf range, private party room, and guest house, all finished with premium materials. It is also well-known for its hotel-quality breakfast service.

In particular, the complex is a 'gated house' that strictly controls access from the entrance, making it a preferred choice for celebrities who value privacy. Top stars such as BTS members RM and Jimin, Big Bang's G-Dragon, actors Song Joongki, Lee Jongsuk, Ju Jihoon, Bae Yongjoon and Park Soojin, Son Junho and Kim Sohyun, as well as business leaders including Hur Youngin, Chairman of SPC Group, Yoo Seokhoon, CEO of Eugene Corporation, Heo Junhong, CEO of Samyang Tongsang, and Cho Hyunbum, Chairman of Hankook & Company, are reportedly residents of the complex.
Born in 1990, Jimovie initially aspired to become a banker or flight attendant and was preparing for employment when he launched his YouTube channel in 2017. He now holds the top spot among Korean movie review YouTubers. On a television program, he once shared, "I started with just 280,000 won to my name and worked 360 days out of 365," adding, "Now, I earn four times a banker's annual salary in a single month," drawing public attention. It is known that he earns an average of hundreds of millions of won per month.
