This agreement was promoted to minimize gaps in snow removal on major sections of provincial roads and to strengthen rapid snow removal response capabilities through the establishment of an organic collaboration system.
According to the agreement, Taebaek City will be responsible for snow removal on a section of Provincial Road No. 414 (from Hyeoldong San 57-24 to Jangsan Condo, approximately 570 meters), while the Taebaek Branch of the Road Management Office will handle snow removal on two sections: Provincial Road No. 424 (from Suseok Restaurant Samgeori to Geonuiryeong Tunnel, approximately 800 meters) and Provincial Road No. 427 (from Tongri Samgeori to the city boundary, approximately 200 meters).
Through this, the two organizations have established a seamless snow removal system by complementing each other in vulnerable areas. In addition, an emergency response system has been established to provide immediate support in case of shortages of snow removal equipment and materials (such as spreaders, snowplows, salt, and calcium chloride), thereby preventing any delays in snow removal.
An official from Taebaek City stated, "With this agreement, the snow removal response capability for major sections of provincial roads has been further strengthened," and added, "We will continue to work closely with the Taebaek Branch of the Road Management Office to carry out snow removal operations that prioritize the safety of our citizens."
