U.S.-China Summit on the 30th
President Donald Trump of the United States expressed confidence on the 28th ahead of his summit with Chinese President Xi Jinping, calling it an "important meeting" and stating, "It will go very well."
At a business event held in Tokyo, Japan, President Trump said, "We are heading to Korea on the 29th. And the next day, as you may have heard, I will be meeting with President Xi," referring to the upcoming summit. He also remarked that the summit with China "will, in fact, be a great meeting for everyone."
President Trump will visit Korea tomorrow after stops in Malaysia and Japan to attend the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) summit. During his two-day, one-night stay, he is scheduled to hold a Korea-U.S. summit with President Lee Jaemyung in Gyeongju on the first day. On the 30th, he will hold a U.S.-China summit with President Xi in Busan.
President Trump has also announced plans to meet Jensen Huang, CEO of Nvidia, who is visiting Korea to attend the APEC event, tomorrow in Korea.
