Woowa Brothers Hosts “Woowa Tech Conference” on the 28th
Sharing Technologies Needed for the Future of the Delivery Industry
Regarding this year's theme for the 'Woowa Tech Conference' (WoowaCon), 'Delivering the Future,' Kim Beomseok, CEO of Woowa Brothers, stated, "It does not simply mean 'delivering the future,' but rather, it signifies that the technology we are developing is the very process of making the future a reality." His words encapsulate Woowa Brothers' reflections on the future of the delivery industry and the various technologies required for it. Held on the 28th at the Grand InterContinental Seoul Parnas in Gangnam-gu, Seoul, 'WoowaCon 2025' served as a platform for sharing such technologies to advance the IT ecosystem.

Kim Beomseok, CEO of Woowa Brothers, said, "What Baemin delivers to the world goes beyond food; it includes countless technologies and systems that make this possible, the time and dedication of the people involved, and the value of connection." He added, "While we strive to create a faster world through technology, our approach is also to deliver a warmer future, which is how Woowa Brothers views technology."
One way to verify Kim's remarks is through the ongoing 'Baemin 2.0' initiative. Marking the 15th anniversary of the service, this rebranding project aims to redefine the brand identity, reflecting Baemin's transformation into an 'irreplaceable delivery platform that provides everything you want in real time.' Kim explained, "The current end-to-end delivery service provided by Baemin is an advanced technology that takes responsibility for the entire process from order to delivery. It supports the success of 300,000 partners, protects riders' safety through data, and ensures customers receive their orders more accurately and warmly. With this technology, we needed momentum to become a tech company that improves customers' daily lives and supports partners' success."
Kim also described this momentum as 'Woowa Brothers being loved once again.' He said, "Reviving the flow of love for a platform is an extremely challenging task," but emphasized, "It is in our DNA to take on challenges and try new things when times are tough. Only when our platform creates a positive flow in service quality, participant experience, behavior, and emotions will people truly feel the change."
According to Kim, when customers have a good experience, partners' sales grow; as partners grow, riders' work and compensation increase; and when riders work stably, this leads to greater customer satisfaction. He said, "Ultimately, it is technology that keeps this flywheel spinning successfully. When every part of this process is connected in real time through technology, it enables us to deliver warmth, support stakeholders, and help people experience change."

This year's WoowaCon, which began in 2020 and is now in its sixth year, featured around 40 presentation sessions. Approximately 10,000 people registered in advance, and among them, about 2,000 selected attendees participated on site. Ko Myungseok, Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of Woowa Brothers, stated, "At WoowaCon 2025, the focus is not on 'how' we applied technology, but 'why' we applied it in that way," adding, "I hope the concerns and efforts of Woowa Brothers' members are well conveyed to the participants and prove helpful."
Following the opening note, Woowa Brothers' members took the stage as speakers in their respective fields. A total of over 40 sessions were held across 11 areas, including backend, frontend, mobile apps, AI/ML, data, robotics, infrastructure, security, product management, design/UX, and culture/growth, sharing Baemin's cases, experiences, and know-how in each domain. There were also mentoring sessions that facilitated communication with participants. These were conducted in two formats-open mentoring and focused mentoring-offering meaningful opportunities to aspiring developers who registered in advance.
CTO Ko said, "Woowa Tech Conference is a time to share Woowa Brothers' technology and grow together with participants," adding, "We will continue to share and communicate our journey as Woowa Brothers, who strive and reflect on how to create the future through technology."
