Restoration Continues for Systems Such as the Quarantine Information Pre-entry System
The Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency (KDCA) announced on October 28 that the Integrated Disease Control Information System, which had been suspended due to a fire at the National Information Resources Service, has been restored and is now operating normally.
Following the fire, the KDCA worked in cooperation with relevant agencies to first restore its main website on October 21, then the Overseas Infectious Disease NOW system on October 24, and as of this day, a total of nine systems including the Integrated Disease Control Information System have been normalized.
The KDCA is currently operating temporary information pages and continuing work manually for some systems that have not yet been restored, such as the Integrated Disease and Health Management System and the Quarantine Information Pre-entry System (Q-code).
Im Seungkwan, Commissioner of the KDCA, stated, "We will continue to work closely with the National Information Resources Service to quickly normalize the remaining systems," adding, "Core work such as infectious disease reporting and notification is already being carried out without disruption, and we will continue to ensure that there is no inconvenience to the public and medical institutions."
