Sancheong County Conducts Inspection of Landslide Restoration Sites

Focused Inspection of Construction Near Residential Areas

Sancheong County in South Gyeongsang Province announced on October 28 that it had conducted an inspection of the landslide damage restoration sites.


The inspection targeted areas that suffered landslide damage due to the extreme heavy rainfall in July. Jeong Youngcheol, Deputy Governor, and others attended, inspecting the restoration work being carried out near residential areas.

In particular, they visited various locations at the site to thoroughly review the overall construction process and called for comprehensive disaster prevention measures. They also emphasized the importance of workplace safety management, urging that drainage facilities be maintained to prepare for possible rainfall during construction.


Jeong Youngcheol, Deputy Governor, stated, "We will complete the landslide restoration work as quickly as possible to protect the daily lives and safety of our residents," and added, "We will continue to conduct regular inspections to do our utmost to safeguard the lives and property of local residents."


Meanwhile, Sancheong County is making every effort to ensure swift restoration, such as completing the first phase of restoration design early in areas where landslides resulted in casualties.
