226 Companies to Join 'K-Expo'
EXO's Chen and Billlie to Perform
The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korea Creative Content Agency announced on October 28 that they will host "K-Expo UAE 2025" in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE), from November 15 to 18.
This is the largest comprehensive K-content expo in the Middle East, with participation from six ministries, twelve organizations, and 226 domestic companies. It covers the entire spectrum of the Korean Wave, including music, drama, games, webtoons, as well as food, cosmetics, and tourism. With "Content Convergence Industrialization" as its core theme, the event will introduce new industry models such as experiential exhibitions utilizing game intellectual property, a DJ performance combining character brands with LG Electronics' audio brand XBOOM, and a hands-on Korean cuisine program featuring actor Ryu Sooyoung.
The Korea Creative Content Agency will also collaborate with Global Village, a major cultural and tourist attraction in Dubai, to host K-pop concerts and business-to-business (B2B) export consultation sessions for the general public. The K-pop stage will feature Chen, Punch, and Billlie. During the export consultation sessions, domestic companies in animation, gaming, beauty, and food will pursue partnership agreements with buyers from the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region.
Yoo Hyunseok, Acting President of the Korea Creative Content Agency, stated, "K-Expo is a convergence platform that expands the Korean Wave from culture to industry," adding, "K-content will use this opportunity as a springboard to reach global markets beyond the Arab world."
