"20 Years Since Korea Joined the IDB"
Prime Minister Kim Minseok met with Ilang Goudfing, President of the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), who is visiting Korea to attend the Korea-Latin America Business Summit on the 27th, and exchanged views on ways to strengthen cooperation, according to the Prime Minister's Office.
During the meeting, Prime Minister Kim noted, "This year marks the meaningful 20th anniversary of Korea’s accession to the IDB," and added, "Korea has made significant contributions to inclusive development in Latin America through close cooperation with the IDB in areas such as co-financing, trust funds, and joint consulting for the Knowledge Sharing Program (KSP)."

He emphasized, "I hope that the AI (Artificial Intelligence) Cooperation Hub, which Korea and the IDB have agreed to establish during this visit, will serve as a practical foundation for expanding cooperation beyond traditional areas to include AI, digital, and energy sectors."
In response, President Goudfing expressed his expectations, saying, "I look forward to both Korea and the IDB further strengthening cooperation for the sustainable development of the international community."
