Enhanced Services Including Route Guidance and Real-Time Tashu Bicycle Availability
Daejeon Transit Corporation announced on October 27 that it has signed a business agreement with Kakao Corporation to enhance the convenience of public transportation users, including those with mobility challenges.
This agreement was established to expand the use of the corporation's transportation big data and to improve the convenience of public transportation users, including those with mobility challenges.
The main points of the agreement include: maximizing the distribution and utilization of real-time information on the Daejeon urban railway; enhancing mobility and accessibility for users, including those with mobility challenges; and establishing a sustainable, eco-friendly transportation system by promoting the use of public bicycles.
Under the agreement, the corporation will provide Kakao with the locations of public bicycle rental stations and the real-time number of available bicycles at each docking station. Kakao will incorporate this information into its route guidance services, such as KakaoMap and KakaoNavi, enabling citizens to conveniently use Tashu bicycles in conjunction with public transportation.
Through this initiative, citizens will be able to easily connect subway stations with bicycle rental stations, check their travel routes at a glance, and enjoy more convenient transportation services.
President Yeon Kyuyang stated, "Through our collaboration with Kakao, anyone in the city will be able to use public transportation more easily and conveniently. We will continue to do our best to provide transportation services that are designed and experienced from the citizens' perspective."
