BNK Kyongnam Bank Opens 'Foreigners-Only Center' in Geoje and Ulsan

A Wide Range of Services Available,
Including Opening and Closing of Demand Deposit Accounts in Korean Won and Foreign Currencies

BNK Kyongnam Bank announced on the 27th that it has opened a 'Foreigners-Only Center' to enhance financial convenience for foreigners.

The Foreigners-Only Center has been established at two branches-Gohyeon Branch in Geoje, Gyeongnam, and Daesong Branch in Ulsan-where many foreign workers reside.


The center operates every other Sunday each month and is available from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. (closed for one hour during lunch).


Key services include: △ opening and closing of demand deposit accounts in Korean won and foreign currencies (including card issuance); △ reporting and declaration services; △ account transfers between BNK Kyongnam Bank accounts; △ card reissuance; △ registration of scheduled remittances for overseas remittance-only accounts; △ electronic financial services (internet banking, smart banking, telebanking); △ customer consultation, guidance on deposit, loan, and foreign exchange products, and marketing activities targeting foreigners.


Park Jinyong, Head of the Personal Customer Department, stated, "We opened the Foreigners-Only Center in Geoje and Ulsan to minimize the inconvenience of visiting branches on weekdays and to create an environment where foreigners can easily access our branches. Going forward, BNK Kyongnam Bank plans to introduce various measures to ensure that foreigners can conveniently use our services."


Meanwhile, BNK Kyongnam Bank is also operating seven 'Foreign Worker-Only Counters' at separate branches to provide a variety of financial services to foreigners.


These dedicated counters are staffed with foreign employees or equipped with an 'AI Real-Time Interpretation and Translation System' that supports real-time communication in 38 languages to facilitate smooth communication.
