Cheongdo County announced on the 27th that the Jaegyeong Cheongdo County Hometown Association (outgoing president Seo Youngbae, incoming president Park Dongsik) recently held its 71st Regular General Meeting and President Inauguration Ceremony in grand fashion at the Air Force Hotel in Seoul.
The event, which took place on the 24th, was attended by over 500 people, including executives, advisors, and members of the Jaegyeong Cheongdo County Hometown Association, as well as officials from Cheongdo County. The gathering served as a time for unity, sharing hometown affection, and expressing hopes for the development of Cheongdo County.

The ceremony was graced by many distinguished guests, including Kim Hasu, Governor of Cheongdo County; Lee Manhee, National Assemblyman; Jeon Jongyul, Chairman of the Cheongdo County Council; Yang Jaegon, President of the Jaegyeong Daegu Gyeongbuk Residents Association; Lee Udong, Secretary General of the Jaegyeong Daegu Gyeongbuk Residents Association; and Lee Junhee, President of the Korea Ssireum Association.
In particular, from Busan, Park Gukhyeon, President of the Jae-Busan Cheongdo County Hometown Association; Kim Jongwi, Secretary General; Park Donggi, Chief Commissioner; and Jo Sonsuk, Vice Chairwoman of the Women’s Committee, attended and demonstrated their unity and shared commitment for their hometown of Cheongdo.
During the event, outgoing president Seo Youngbae, who served as president for two years with a strong sense of duty and responsibility despite difficult circumstances, received a plaque of appreciation from Gyeongbuk Province Governor Lee Cheolwoo for his contributions to the development of the Jaegyeong Cheongdo County Hometown Association.
In addition, the 14th president Choi Daegyo, 17th president Lee Changsang, and 18th president Lee Yulgi were awarded plaques of commendation from the Cheongdo County Governor in recognition of their dedicated service and exemplary leadership for the association.
The event also featured a performance by the Saemaeul Orchestra and various video presentations, which boosted pride in their hometown of Cheongdo County. The festivities concluded successfully with a singing contest by townships and villages, as well as performances by popular singers.
Park Dongsik, the newly inaugurated president of the Jaegyeong Cheongdo County Hometown Association, stated, "I am deeply grateful to all the distinguished guests and association members who joined us today," adding, "Let us pool our wisdom and devotion to achieve even greater progress for our hometown of Cheongdo."
In response, Kim Hasu, Governor of Cheongdo County, said, "I am grateful to the Jaegyeong Cheongdo County Hometown Association for always working hard for the development and unity of our hometown," and added, "I hope that Cheongdo County and the association will continue to cooperate and build an even warmer community together."
