Masan Fire Station in Changwon Special City, South Gyeongsang Province, announced on October 27 that, ahead of the 63rd Firefighting Day, the Fire Development Committee had delivered a donation of 1 million won to support a firefighter undergoing long-term treatment for a serious illness.
This donation was prepared to encourage a fellow firefighter facing difficulties due to treatment and rehabilitation, and it carries warm messages of comfort and support.
The Fire Development Committee regularly practices a culture of sharing and coexistence with the local community through various social contribution activities. On October 24, the committee held an appointment ceremony for new members and a regular meeting to establish a voluntary safety management system and lay the foundation for a local safety culture.
During the event, Ryu Hyejeong, CEO of The Sun Gift Co., Ltd., and Lee Yunchae, CEO of Neulpureun Firefighting, were newly appointed as committee members. At the regular meeting, participants discussed ways to strengthen cooperation between port logistics companies and local fire safety, taking into account the unique characteristics of the region, including Masan Gapo New Port.
