On October 24, the Chilgok Police Station conducted a joint campaign for youth crime prevention and child safety in Waegwan-eup, Chilgok County. The event was held in collaboration with the Chilgok Office of Education, Chilgok Out-of-School Youth Support Center, officials from related agencies, and the Youth Policy Advisory Group.
During the campaign, officials carried out focused patrols in areas of concern for juvenile delinquency, such as parks where incidents of drinking and smoking frequently occur. They also visited convenience stores and restaurants in person, distributing promotional materials to business owners to inform them about regulations and penalties regarding the sale of harmful substances to minors, and actively encouraged the local community to participate in protecting youth.

In addition, on school routes near Waegwan Elementary School, officials distributed guidelines for preventing child abduction and kidnapping, as well as promotional items related to school violence prevention, to students on their way home, raising awareness about school violence and child safety.
The Chilgok Police Station stated, "Preventing juvenile delinquency and crimes against children requires the attention and effort of the entire community. We will continue to work closely with related agencies and proactively carry out multifaceted crime prevention activities to ensure the safety of children and youth."
