2,912 Participants, 632 Advance to Finals, Foundation Strengthened for a "Lifestyle Sports City"
"Gumi Cup National Park Golf Tournament" Draws Huge Success
Finals MVP Wins 30 Million Won Prize: Son Youngho (Daegu)
Gumi City, North Gyeongsang Province, hosted the finals of the "4th Gumi Cup National Park Golf Tournament 2025" at Dongnak Park Golf Course from October 24 to 25. The event was organized by the Gumi City Sports Council and supervised by the Gumi City Park Golf Association.
From September 5 to October 25, a total of 2,912 participants competed in preliminary rounds held over eight days-every Friday and Saturday-at six venues: Dongnak, Yangpo, Gumi, Seonsan, Haepyeong, and Dogye. Of these, approximately 632 participants advanced to the finals, where they demonstrated their skills to the fullest and gave their best efforts regardless of ranking.
The MVP of the finals, who received a prize of 30 million won, was Son Youngho from Daegu Metropolitan City.
In the men's division, Lee Hanwoong from Busan Metropolitan City took first place, while Lee Jungyeol from Daegu Metropolitan City took second. In the women's division, Choi Imyeol from Gumi City, North Gyeongsang Province, claimed first place, and Kim Okhee from Busan Metropolitan City took second. They received prize money of 5 million won and 3 million won, respectively.
Prizes were awarded up to 10th place, and as a distinguishing feature from last year's tournament, special prizes of 100,000 won each were also given to the 20th, 30th, 50th, 70th, and 90th place finishers in both the men's and women's divisions.

Jung Sungki, President of the Gumi City Park Golf Association, stated, "For next year's tournament, we will establish a more systematic competition operation and create a player-friendly environment to make Gumi a mecca for park golf."
